Community Participants Program

This program was created to accommodate requests for concentrated learning or extended participation in our community by those with special circumstances. These include: graduate level education or sabbatical study, limited access due to living outside the San Francisco area, and research development in the field of end-of-life care. Ideally, programs should be booked several months in advance. Acceptance into CPP requires:

• A complete application
• An interview (preferably in-person),
• A referral letter
• A letter from a training supervisor or professor (when applicable)
• Ability to attend the initial sessions of our Volunteer Caregiver Training (offered twice-yearly, click here for schedule)

Costs: There is a fee of $500 to defray the costs of this program. In certain cases, payment plans or work exchange (40 hours of service to ZHP) can be arranged upon request. You may also want to explore the option of having either an organization or friends and family sponsor you.
