Linda Wohlrabe

Linda Wohlrabe has been a part of the Bay Area non-profit community since 1977. Born in Minnesota and a graduate of Skidmore College with a degree in Art History, Linda moved to California where her first job was as a Community Outreach Worker with a Senior Center program. She received her Master’s in Social Welfare from San Francisco State University in 1981 and since that time has been involved in virtually all aspects of non-profit work. She has experience as a Case Manager, Clinician, Program Director and Executive Director. After leaving an Executive Director position at La Casa de las Madres, she started working with Compasspoint and became part of their Interim Executive Leadership program. This led to work at a number of organizations as an Interim Executive Director and consultant.

Linda’s consulting work first brought her into contact with Zen Hospice in 1997 through the Corporation for Supportive Housing, exploring the potential of licensing the Guest House. At that time, Founding Executive Director Frank Ostaseski’s office was located on the second floor of the Guest House, so Linda was able to experience first hand what the Zen Hospice approach to compassionate care looked like. More recently, Linda was Interim Executive Director at Mission Hospice in San Mateo.
