Symphonic music fans have been hanging on Special Guest and nationally-acclaimed musicologist Robert Greenberg's every word for years. His pre-concert lectures, known for their wit, wisdom and insight, for such lauded companies as the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra are as popular a draw as the performances themselves. Given his credentials, and an enviable ability to make complex music theory accessible to listeners of all levels, it's no wonder! Robert is also an award-winning composer, author and lecturer, and is currently music historian in-residence for San Francisco Performances. Dinner will be prepared in the home of Nancy Martin and Timothy Tosta by Occasions by Maureen Catering. Founder Maureen Schroeder has prepared sumptuous feasts for such luminaries as the Dalai Lama and Jane Goodall. She may be one of the Bay Area's best-kept culinary secrets. This dinner is a must for those who want to understand how music is the mirror of the culture in which it is created.
