Special Skills Application

DESCRIPTION

There are many ways individuals can help create a caring environment and actively assist us in fulfilling our mission. Special Skills Volunteers provide a variety of services that are essential to the day-to-day functioning of Zen Hospice Project. Even if you do not feel you have a particular skill to offer please contact us.  Many people bring their gifts of time, skill, creativity and kindness to our community.  It is quite likely we can assign you to a weekly project. Your intention and availability to serve are the primary prerequisites.

Special Skills Volunteers serve at two San Francisco locations:
- At our Administrative Office, we need help with data entry, fundraising mailings, filing, copy editing, IT support, and the like.
- At the Guest House, we primarily need help with kitchen support for food production and meal service and maintenance/repairs.  Occasionally have need for massage therapists, grocery shopping, and flower arranging.

The Special Skills Volunteer program is well-suited to people who want to volunteer in hospice but need some flexibility or are unable to make the considerable time commitment to our Volunteer Caregiver Program.
